Located in a historical building
in the most charming street of the Pelourinho, "La Figa" can beconsidered as
a piece of Italy in Salvador. Salvatore Distefano, from Padova, created a
rustic and familiar atmosphere in which you will feel at home. The
restaurant can hold 80 covers. House made pastes and seafood are the main
specialities. Indeed, our own artisanal kitchen provides fettuccine,
pappardelle, tagliolini, ravioli, gnocchi, bread, grissini and focaccia, and
mussels, clams and oysters come from Santa Catarina. We also have of course
italian starters and grills. The desserts are exclusively house made and are
not on the card, because according to the cooker's creativity: you ask and
they prepare! The quite visible kitchen, directed by Osmar and Silvino, is
simple and Mediterranean style. "La Figa" is considered the best deal of the
city's restaurants. Except during hot hours, the restaurant proposes also
breakfasts and a spritz-party. The restaurant ows a air-conditioned cellar
with more than one hundred different wines from various countries.
